Hi, I’m Nancy Flock. I’m a Loan Specialist with the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP). I have been working to improve rural small businesses by providing microloans and technical assistance to entrepreneurs since 2008. Over the years, I've worked with a broad range of businesses including retail, restaurants and trucking just to name a few.
This job is an ideal fit for me! I have experience in banking and was raised in an entrepreneurial environment and exposed to small business early on. Plus, Spanish is my first language, and I hold an Associate’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
The best part of my job is connecting people with tools such as financing and technical assistance that helps them start or expand a business. Additionally, I'm able to work with Spanish speaking immigrants and provide resources and business education in their language so they can grow as entrepreneurs. I’m empowering dreams and hard work. What’s not to love?
I also enjoy researching and staying up to date on small business trends, technology and marketing. This lets me be confident in my expertise as I help budding entrepreneurs get started on the right foot. I have a passion to help others succeed and have also been an entrepreneur myself, so I relate to the successes and challenges of my clients.
