    About Us

Ready for fresh, mouth-watering snacks and sandwiches that you will crave? Well, Mackenzie's Snack Shack is the place for you!
It all started with a childhood dream that turned into reality, Mackenzie spent her early years watching The Food Network studying from shows such as Malto Mario, Iron Chef (Japan,) Good Eats with Alton Brown, and even The Wednesday shows with Chuck Lallanne. In her early 20's Mackenzie worked under multiple chefs and eventually was apprenticing under Chef Lallanne himself. During that time she had creative freedom to explore the kitchen and experiment with food. ''I was always under a lot of pressure to come up with new and unique sandwiches every single day, I had to think outside the box and dive deep into flavor combinations and what really makes a good sandwich. When I started getting compliments and more hands-on training from my peers, it made me feel like I had found my calling, that I was actually good at something and that I had something special to offer the world. '' During Mackenzie's time at The Canteen Bar And Grille she helped cater many events such as weddings, Gala events, Buffalo Bill Bash, and the Grand Opening of GPWest. In 2020 Mackenzie opened a food trailer serving Mexican street food that won two Best In The Region awards, shortly after the food trailer was totaled in an accident. After 2 Years of planning Mackenzie is back with a storefront in North Platte's Canteen District. Located at 408 North Dewey across from Hirschfeld's, stop by Mackenzie's Snack Shack!
