About Us

Midwest Renewable Energy is 35-40 million gallon/year ethanol production plant. We have been part of the local Sutherland, NE community for 19 years and are active with many businesses and organizations within the community. MRE is a small company, employing 30-35 employees. We focus on creating a family like work environment. Our employees are encouraged to take time with their own families, such as attending sporting activities for children. MRE is proud to support and sponsor our employees and their families in their activities outside of work.
